Whose happier?
Hello classmates! I have a topic for you. Do you think that ethical or just individuals are happier in life than unethical or unjust people? My thoughts: I think that it depends on how happiness is percieved and/or defined by each person. Ethical people can be unhappy, just because a person does right and lives by their strong values and morals does not guarentee happiness. Unethical people on the other hand tend to do what is neccessary to make themselves happy whether its right or wrong. I personally think that happiness is equal. Unethical people can live with the fact that they don't exactly live by rules or anytype of morals therefore don't feel bad or regret things they do to provide happiness in their lives. Ethical people on the other hand find happiness in doing the right things and rely on the fact that because they are doing whats right, good things will come their way... what are your thoughts?

Good question. I believe true happiness comes from within no matter if you are considered ethical or unethical. No one can determine your happiness that's left up to you. You can be ethical and just and still be unhappy and the same goes for being considered unjust and unethical. Your happiness is left up to you!!!!
ReplyDeleteBoy this very topic takes me back to my ethics and philisophy classes. I think happiness is based on the individual person. For me being ethical and doing what is right makes me happy. If not I worry about what I did wrong and it interferes with my happiness. Cultures are different and what brings happy to one culture may or may not be for the other. I like your topic. I will be back once I think on this alittle more.
ReplyDeleteUnethical people are out for themselves and don't view the world in the same way, but they can be just as happy go lucky as someone who is ethical.
